What it means to be the new generation of period tracking
By Tillie Inglis
It is no secret that in today's day and age women's health and their rights to it are not being made top priority. It has been over a year now since the Supreme Court made the detrimental choice to overturn Roe V. Wade. With this decision came the reversal of a person's constitutional right to abortion. In only six months after the Supreme Court ruling, 24 US States had banned abortion or are likely to do so (Guttmacher Institute), as well as that people's privacy in common period tracking apps is almost non-existent. Not only does this impact the access women and all menstruators have to proper health care, but it has made us here at PrivyTrack rethink how girls and young women are able to access period tracking and health resources.
For girls to be growing up in a time where their personal health is seemingly in the hands of government officials, we believe a new resource is necessary for the health of the next generation. This is why PrivyTrack is here to create the new generation of period tracking. We plan to be the first app girls and young women look for when it comes to tracking their cycle. With hormone cycle optimization our users can find detailed and accurate information about their health, which will improve their wellbeing at a holistic level. Not to mention, PrivyTrack provides all of these services with a heightened level of privacy in order to protect all of our users in this Post-Roe world.
Girls shouldn’t have to worry about their intimate data being shared when they are just learning how to navigate their health. At PrivyTrack we pledge to never share our users data, and to do everything in our power to provide the best support for the new generation of period tracking.
